I feel like whenever I do a gift guide, i’m always tempted to start the post with–“Can you believe it’s already almost _________ (insert holiday here)?! But seriously, can you blame me? Time is going wayyyy too fast. Ezra’s already a couple months out from being ONE! This is also Dave’s first Father’s Day with both kiddos <3. Ok, moving on before I start crying. Back to what I was saying: It’s already the end of May, and Father’s Day is right around the corner!
If you’re looking for some gift ideas, i’ve compiled some Amazon picks here for you ranging from ~$25 to ~$120. If you happen to live in or near Santa Barbara, i’ve also included a couple of places where you can go and find a great gift for the dad in your life.
Father’s Day Gift Guide
1.Leather Bound Journal : If your guy is one for taking notes, journaling, or whatever else that requires paper ;), this is a good and good-looking option.
2. Cross Classic Century Ball Point Pen: And what better thing to go with a journal then a really nice pen!
3.Everybody Always: Becoming Love in a World Full of Setbacks and Difficult People by Bob Goff: SUCH a GREAT read. I highly recommend this one! And if he’s a little extra (in a good way 😉 and would want a study guide to go along with what he’s reading, there’s also this option.
4.Whiskey Decanter & Glasses: If whiskey is something the dad in your life enjoys, this is a classic looking set that would be great to have for hanging out with his buds :).
5.Gourmet Coffee Sampler: Not a whiskey fan? Not a problem. Here’s a big selection of gourmet coffee beans that he can work his way through. Chances are good he’ll share ;).
6.Kindle Paper-White E-Reader: Is he a book worm? If so, this is such a good way to have all his books at his fingertips. If you want to get this one cheaper, you can get it certified refurbished, which is a great option if you’re looking to spend less.
7.Inflatable Lounger: This looks like such an epic way to relax/or have fun. Dave would use this in ways I’m sure the creator wouldn’t quite have intended–like to launch himself off of, or to throw into a body of water and do more launching off activities.
8.Herschel 5-Panel Hat: These five panel caps are all the rage right now. I love how versatile this gray one is. I know Dave would appreciate this one since the 5-panel style is a bit of a departure from the standard baseball or trucker caps.
Santa Barbara Shops:
Ace Rivington: If the dad you’re shopping for is into fine, quality apparel and goods and has a bent toward adventure, this is a great option for finding him a gift!
Plum Goods: This is a great spot to pick up a unique gift; there a lot of locally made options, which is always a plus if your guy likes that added touch.
Wolf’s Head: If your guy wants to get some good TLC with a good haircut or a nice, clean shave, stop by Wolf’s Head for a gift certificate.
Parker Clay: If leather is part of his love language, you’ll want to stop by Parker Clay where they sell an assortment of beautiful, handmade leather goods.
Have you already done your Father’s Day shopping (I’m guessing if you have, you’re probably not reading this post ;))? Let me know what gifts you’ve given in the past. How’d they go? Were any total busts? Which were the most well received? I want to know it all :D.
